Best Noosa Beach Holidays

Noosa Beach is on Queensland's Sunshine Coast north of Brisbane, It's a boutique town that's got it all.
The Noosa town gravitates around Hastings St, full of beachy shops, boutiques and restaurants with delicious food.

Buildings aren't allowed to be higher than the tree line. Noosa is a hip town full of happy people making the most of a natural beauty spot, and Noosa beach is right behind the shops on Hastings St.  Noosa is a surf beach with mostly gentle waves and the famous red and yellow of the lifesavers from the Noosa surf club.

At the right hand end of this long beach is the Noosa National Park, a natural wonderland of elevated trees and flowers that looks right back down to buzzing Noosa town.

Noosa is where smart business types including former Budget car rental king Bob Ansett have escaped to live their lives in a beautiful setting away from the bigger city stress of Sydney and Melbourne.

For accommodation near Noosa Beach, try Peter Butt at Noosa Resort Management, whose motto is "Sit back with a good book-ing." Recommended resorts on Noosa beach include the place named On the Beach, with its roof top spas, and the stylish Netanya with the nearby Sails beachfront restaurant. Two other good Noosa restaurants are Cafe du Monde on Hastings St and the Noosa beachfront C Restaurant with its great views and fresh Australian seafood.

If you want one of the bigger names, try the Sheraton Resort on the other side of Hastings Street.

This seaside town of Noosa has it all.  Beautiful beaches, a great little town built around one beachfront street, and other pretty beachfront towns such as Maroochydore and Maloolaba nearby.

Just inland from Noosa is beautiful as well. Try a day trip to the hill towns of Montville and Maleny, full of arts and crafts.  There are also gastronomic restaurants in these hills that give you variety on your vacation.

And you must try the local institution known as the Eumundi Markets, an open air flea market full of interesting crafts and characters, open on Wednesdays and Saturdays. A good tip - get in early on Saturdays (open from 6.30am) because it gets packed later. It's only a 15 minute drive or public bus ride from the centre of Noosa.

So as the sun sets on another Noosa day on the beach, as you savour fresh seafood and quality Australian wine, you'd be hard pressed to think of another Best Beach destination that delivers so much.
